When cleaning trailers pay extra attention to the doors as they are the most travelled through area's of the trailer.

Before beginning the wash, put enviro pads over the drains to stop any oil or debris from entering the ground water. When washing trailers always start at the top. Use a hot water pre-soak and soak one side of trailer. Using the telescopic wand and brush start and the end of the trailer and work the brush up and down over the surface of the trailer for about the first six feet concentrating on the upper half of the trailer. Leave that brush there and return to the end of the trailer and using a short handle brush and using the same up and down techinique (just like painting) soft brush scrub the bottom half of the trailer. Rotate from top to bottom along the whole length of the trailer. Follow along brush cleaning with the pressure washer to give a hot rinse and further sanitization. While hot rinsing for the last time spend some time on the dirty area’s under the trailer. Area’s where dirt likes to accumulate. At the front of the trailer pay extra attention where the smoke stack from the tractor leaves extra soot. Brush clean whole front of trailer and hot rinse. A small brush may be needed to get around the attachments at the front of the trailer. Hot rinse. When you have finished the other side using the same technique. First doing a presoak, and then following with a brush clean and a hot rinse, extra attention needs to be paid to the back doors. The most travelled through area of any trailer. These doors are constantly being opened, closed and hauled in and out of all day long. The doors need to be presoaked and then using the extended handle brush the top of the door is cleaned. A smaller brush may be used around the door locks to be able to get in closer to the dirtiest area’s. A hot rinse and maybe even a second scrub on some doors due to how dirty they are. Always finish with a rinse to eliminate the debris and when using hot water to prevent streaks.

Different back door types are :

Barn Door style needs a smaller brush head to get up close to the bar fasteners, as well as the large brush starting at the top and working your way down the door. Followed by a hot rinse.

Roll up Doors style needs the presoak and the larger brush to start at the top. Brush clean the door and after then rinse with hot water. When rinsing pay attention to the door runners and get grime out as grime can cause problems with the door rollers.

Power tail gate style; Put the power tailgate down so that the top is even with the bottom of the door without opening. Hot water clean ramp and spend some time again on the tracks for the power tailgate to remove grime from the roller area’s.When completed move power tailgate back to the upmost position and clean trailer plates and the bottom of the back end with hot water.

The mudflaps carry a lot of grime that should be hot pressure washer off. Do a complete once over of trailer before moving on to the next job. Always take enviro sock off drain before leaving.

In pressure washing anything can be a safety hazard. We spend the extra moments to secure safety hazards. Our hoses are pulled out fully to avoid kinks and damage to the pressure washer. We put a bucket at the hose joint to make it visible to any oncoming traffic. We wear proper eye-wear to prevent brightness blindness and to keep foreign objects out of our eyes. When cleaning a residence we ask the occupants to remove any objects stored next to the house. This will prevent damage to the employee’s and objects that can get hit with the high pressure spray. Proper footwear is worn to prevent slips and falls. A absorbent pad is put around the drain site to prevent water contamination. All brooms, shovels and equipment is secured in the trailer with straps and clips. Our wands are never altered to prevent body damage. The wands are never under any circumstance passed in front of a body or near the body of another person while activated. When the wand needs to be passed there is a security safety latch on the handle to secure safety.Enviro-friendly soaps are used and they have no detergents or alkali’s. Usually just hot water is used and soap can be avoided completely. When climbing ladders and anytime a need of climbing above 16 feet is needed a safety harness will be worn. Leg levelers are used to make sure all ladders are levelled on the ground. To prevent ladders from travelling when in an upright position stabilizers are used at the top.

Windows in our homes are the eyes to the outdoors. Cleaning windows twice yearly will keep the outside world looking bright. Window cleaning is generally done in the spring and fall. Outside window cleaning can be done with enviro-friendly cleaners and then a squeegee dry. Try and clean windows in the shade, as sunshine cause windows to dry much to quickly sometimes causing streaks. Any dried on dirt will be softened by the soap and water mixture and then a soft brush clean will loosen any grime or dirt so that it can be rinsed away before the squeegee dry. Never spray a pressure washer directly at a window because the water will find a way inside the house. The pressure is to strong. When pulling the trigger on the pressure washer pull it away from the house and use a multi-purpose white tip at about 10 feet away. Use the side of the water spray to clean and rinse windows. If the squeegee doesn’t get all the corners follow behind with a cotton cloth and get the corners cleaned out by hand.

As we head into spring it it time to start looking at what needs sprucing up for the good weather. To most residential owners a pressure wash of the home, patio, sidewalks and driveway are all that needs to be done to give the home that spring cleaned look and feel.

At Dragonfly pressure washing we are environmentally conscious and offer a enviro-friendly soap so that we are not harming animals, plants or the ground water. We clean all algae and grime off sidewalks, decks and driveways to help avoid slipping injuries. Dragonfly pressure washing will put an absorbant pad or sock over the drain entrance so that we can collect all debris and oils. This prevents the oil and debris from entering the ground water systems.

Most residenses take anywhere from 2 hours to 6 hours to complete. We ask that everything left leaning against the house or stored next to the house be removed so we have complete and simple access to the whole residense. We offer pressure washing of either hot or cold or both, and we use a soft brush technique so as to not harm bricks, stucco or siding. Pressure washing is used as a presoak and a rinse.

We clean trucks and fleet vehicles as well as residenses and we specialize in cleaning insides of refrigeration vehicles as they need to be cleaned between each load to avoid cross contaminations.

We generally do not need more than a week to get you booked in and all services can be completed within a weeks time or we put in overtime to get the jobs done to your schedule. We have a professional enthusiastic staff that always works to the best of their ability and provides the customers with the best possible service.

Dragonfly Pressure Washing came to the rescue and cleaned the vehicle, and vehicle engine, wheels, and windows.

Coastal Transport Refrigerations technician has a cube van that needs to be cleaned weekly, as it is his company vehicle and his best form of advertising. Being February and winter in British Columbia the roads are often wet and muddy, which makes the truck dirty looking in just days. Dragonfly Pressure Washing came to the rescue and travelled to Langley, cleaned the vehicle, vehicle engine, wheels, and windows.

We started by cleaning the outside of the box with hot water and enviro-friendly cleaners. We used a soft brush scrub to get rid of all the road grime and mud. We put the cab on tilt so that we could give the engine a steam bath and get rid of all grime. All wheels and hubs were brush cleaned using a round brush after being presoaked with hot water and enviro-friendly cleaners.

The technician Tim stated that the truck had not looked this good since new and was going to recommend us to the rest of his fleet.
